Care

Wood is a living and behaving material. Pieces will gather a natural patina over time and become more beautiful as they develop their personality in your home and hands.

For your homeware and utensils, hand-wash only and avoid submerging in water for any length of time. Wipe them dry and then allow to air dry fully. Avoid stains by wiping off any potential staining materials quickly.

As pieces start to wear, you can maintain them with a light sand (of a fine grit, i.e. 400) and a coat of food safe oil, be aware of allergies and the manufacturer’s instructions, and always make sure it is food safe. I use a Linseed and Beeswax mixture on all my pieces.

For your furniture and larger pieces, take care as you would for any piece of furniture in your home, keep it clean and free of stains. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, and if you think an object needs attention please feel free to get in touch.

Please reach out to me if a piece needs a little love, if you have any questions, or need some advice.
